"White egrets fly before West Hill, peach blossoms bloom where fish fat swim in streams. Green straw hats, straw raincoats — no need to head home in the slanting wind and fine rain." The idyllic scene depicted in the famous Tang Dynasty poet Zhang Zhihe's poem "Fishing Song" comes to life in Egret Valley at Xisai Mountain in Miaoxi Town, Wuxing District.

Egret Valley, located to the south of Xisai Mountain, gets its name from the large numbers of egrets that gather and nest here between March and October each year.

In the balmy spring months, peach blossoms spread across the valley like morning glow; in midsummer, fish and shrimp leap joyfully in the streams; in golden autumn, the mountains are ablaze with red leaves; even in the depths of winter, the valley remains lush and green.
