Introduction

The source of the Huangpu River is located within the Longwang Mountain Nature Reserve in Anji, Zhejiang. Its main peak stands at an elevation of 1,587.4 meters, making it the highest peak in northern Zhejiang and the entire Yangtze River Delta region of East China.

Here, clouds and mist linger around undulating mountain ranges, a grand canyon stretching over twenty li, majestic and precipitous mountain terrain, deep primeval forests, spectacular waterfalls, blooming azaleas, vast sea of clouds, and magnificent sunrises—“Nature’s divine craftsmanship brings together thousands of streams to form the source of the Huangpu.”

At an altitude of 1,350 meters lies a natural historical heritage: a thousand-acre high-altitude marsh, a geological wonder and a rare natural spectacle in the subtropics. Enter the Dragon Gate, explore the source, stay at the mountain lodge, and admire the stunning views. You can enjoy azaleas in spring, sea of clouds in summer, picturesque scenery in autumn, and snowscapes in winter. Explore the source, venture into the deep valleys, gaze at emerald pools, and witness clear springs gushing from crevices halfway up the mountain cliffs, splashing against rocks like melodious music. There are also glacial relics, ancient trees, rare plants, uniquely shaped peaks, and from various perspectives, the mountains resemble dragons, gates, tigers, turtles, or deities. Towering peaks include one that is vertically split, known as the “Immortal’s Sawed Plank.” Each turn reveals a new view, breathtakingly beautiful, refreshing the spirit.
