Yaochi Ecological Tourism Scenic Area is located in Yaxi Town, Gaochun County. Here, verdant mountains and clear waters blend harmoniously, the air is fresh, the local customs are simple, and the cultural heritage is profound. With its pristine natural environment and unique ecological conditions, it resembles a heavenly paradise like Yaochi. In 2004, it was rated as a National AA-level Tourist Attraction. The area offers pine waves that sing like music, bamboo groves that rustle like a zither, murmuring mountain streams, and birds chirping in lively competition. Attractions such as the Five-Li Corridor, Qingfeng Pavilion, Dingshou Tower, and Juzhu Pavilion feature rustic yet natural exteriors, exquisitely designed interiors, and elegant, refined decorations. Especially notable is the Five-Li Corridor, which is majestic and spectacular, with bridges within the corridor and corridors atop bridges. It has been hailed by Chinese Times Magazine as China’s “Bridge of Dreams.” To meet the needs of modern life, the resort has developed pollution-free tea planting bases, upright gourd and tea integrated cultivation bases, early bamboo shoot production bases, mushroom cultivation bases, grape growing areas, and specialty food production bases such as soy-flavored goose. Yaxi Subdistrict: Yaxi Town in Gaochun County is located in the eastern part of Gaochun County, Nanjing. It is one of Jiangsu Province’s newly developed small towns. It borders Liyang to the east, is eight kilometers from Dingbu Town, Langxi County, Anhui to the south, and adjoins Lishui County to the north. The town covers a total area of 115 square kilometers and has a population of 50,000.

Yaxi has a long history, with human activity dating back as early as three thousand years ago. The formation of the Yaxi town center began in the late Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty.
