Shiwā Taoyuán Agritainment Tourism Village

Shiwā Taoyuán Agritainment is located in Zhōucūn Community, Gǔlǐ Subdistrict, Jiāngníng District, at the southwestern foot of Niúshǒu Mountain. Covering an area of over 600 acres, the overall architectural style is dominated by Huīzhōu-style design, featuring white walls and gray tiles set against lush green forests, creating a beautiful scenic spot at the foot of Niúshǒu Mountain. In 2011, under the leadership of the district Party committee and government, after careful planning and project evaluation, construction of the featured village commenced in early October 2011. The total investment reached 40 million yuan, including 12 million yuan for the main road in the first phase, 6 million yuan for building renovation and hard landscaping, 4 million yuan for supporting facilities, 2.7 million yuan for separate stormwater and sewage systems and underground pipelines, 3.6 million yuan for the tourist reception center, 4 million yuan for greening, and 10 million yuan for demolition and reconstruction.

The overall architectural style of the “Shiwā Taoyuán” project is dominated by Huīzhōu-style design, highlighting closeness to mountains and water, integrating pastoral scenery with natural mountains, water, forests, and residences. In terms of functional expansion, it is based on local specialties such as “vegetarian culture,” “tea culture,” and the residential leisure environment of a “natural oxygen bar,” promoting organic healthy eating culture and eco-tourism leisure. Regarding cultural themes, it fully leverages the resources of the Niúshǒu Mountain scenic area and unique historical and cultural assets, striving to integrate Niúshǒu culture and Buddhist culture into the development of the featured village. Through the construction of stone carvings, archways, pavilions, landscape corridors, and the cultivation of “spring peach blossoms, summer lotuses, autumn osmanthus, and winter plum blossoms,” it creates a “Niúshǒu Cultural First Village” where “flowers bloom in every season and scenery greets you at every step.”

During the construction process, Master Pei Jiatóng, a renowned traditional Chinese painter from Gǔlǐ, planned to establish the “Tiānquè Painting Academy” at the “Jíshízhāi” site to showcase and study the culture of Niúshǒu, represented by Kūncán and the “Eight Masters of Jīnlíng.”
