Rally racing has become a fashionable and extreme leisure sport popular among urban white-collar elites. According to Yangzi Evening News, Panlong Lake Auto Park is the only permanent racing venue in East China. Members of the public can also apply for a rally racing driver’s license, but there are certain thresholds, such as being an adult under 60 years old with at least three years of driving experience.
Hu Xiaopeng, head of Nanjing Panlong Lake Auto Park, introduced that among the 15 trainees in the previous session, 11 were company white-collar workers. Members of the public interested can sign up to fulfill their dream of becoming a race car driver. The training period generally lasts about a week, with training fees of six to seven thousand yuan. After training, participants take a national unified exam, and those who pass can obtain a rally racing driver’s license.
