Datangjin Herb Valley is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Datangjin Herb Valley is located in Shuangtang Community, Guli Subdistrict, Jiangning District, Nanjing. Datangjin is the name of a village. According to the local chronicle of Guli, during the Qing Dynasty, a family surnamed Jin settled around a pond, hence the name Datangjin (literally “Big Pond of the Jin Family”). The 400-acre lavender fields here bloomed for the first time, and the natural terrain created the unique landscape of “terrace-style lavender.”

Lavender, verbena, purple splendor, windmills spinning, balloons floating, visitors in high spirits, green grass, clear pond water, and green trees surrounding the village—what a beautiful sight in Guli!

Shuangtang Community:

Shuangtang Community was formed by the merger of the former Liangtang Village and Xingtang Village. It is located in the southern suburbs of Nanjing, in the southeastern part of Guli Subdistrict. To the east, it borders Zutang Community and Jishan Community; to the south, it connects with the Jiangning District Experimental Tea Farm and Gongtang Community; and to the northwest, it adjoins Guli Community. The village committee is situated at Miaoshan in Shawall Village, approximately 2.5 kilometers from the Guli Subdistrict Office. In March 2001, the two administrative villages of Xingtang and Liangtang merged to form the Shuangtang Village Committee, which governs 32 villager groups.
