The Chenzidun Ancient Cultural Site is a cultural heritage site protected by Nanjing Municipality.

The Chenzidun Ancient Cultural Site is located at the fork in the road of Dongshan Subdistrict, Jiangning District, and dates back to the Neolithic Age.

Within Hushu Town in Hushu Subdistrict, Jiangning District, there are over ten sites including Liangtai, Chuandun, Shendun, Laoshudun, and Qiangang. These are ancient cultural sites from the late Neolithic Age to the Shang and Zhou dynasties, forming the central area of the “Hushu Culture” sites. The distribution of “Hushu Culture” sites is extremely extensive, covering approximately 400 square kilometers. The area is surrounded by continuous mountain ranges, with the Qinhuai Plain’s polder fields in between. Numerous artifacts have been unearthed from the “Hushu Culture” sites, including stone tools, pottery, and bronze ware. The discovery of these relics indicates that around 3,000 to 4,000 years ago, this area of Hushu was already inhabited by humans. Based on the characteristics and evolution of the unearthed artifacts, archaeologists believe that the inhabitants of the “Hushu Culture” were tribes who used bronze tools and established their settlements on the ruins of Neolithic villages.

Dongshan Subdistrict: Dongshan Subdistrict is the location of the district Party committee and government, situated at the political, economic, and cultural center of the entire district. It borders Chunhua Subdistrict to the east, Moling Subdistrict to the south, and intersects with Yuhuatai District and Qinhuai District of Nanjing City to the west, while connecting to Qilin Subdistrict to the north.
