The Family Tomb of Gu Qiyuan is located on Gujiashan in Zengzhuang Village, Hengxi Subdistrict, Jiangning District. It dates back to the Ming Dynasty through the People's Republic of China period.

Gu Qiyuan (1565–1628), styled Taichu (also referred to as Linchu or ?chu), with the sobriquet Dunyuan Jushi, was a native of Jiangning, Jiangsu (now Nanjing). He ranked third in the 1598 (Wanli 26th year) imperial examination under the list headed by Zhao Bingzhong during the reign of Emperor Wanli of the Ming Dynasty.

In the 1597 provincial examination, Gu Qiyuan placed twelfth. The following year, he came first in the metropolitan examination and third in the palace examination (Jinshi ranking), after which he was appointed as a Hanlin editorial compiler. He once submitted a memorial titled "Praying to Heaven for Eternal Mandate," criticizing contemporary malpractices in sincere detail, but it was not adopted.
