Renfang Park

Renfang Park is located within Jiubin Park in Yicheng Town. Ren Fang served as an official during the Song, Qi, and Liang dynasties of the Southern Dynasties period. During the reign of Emperor Wu of Liang, he held the position of Palace Attendant and was appointed Prefect of Yixing. Known for his integrity and clean governance, he was deeply loved by the people. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and admiring the scenery of streams and mountains. Later generations built a platform in his memory, known as “Ren Gong’s Fishing Terrace.” During the Southern Dynasties period, Ren Gong’s Fishing Terrace was one of the top ten fishing terraces in China and later became one of the Ten Scenic Spots of Yixing.

Renfang Park was meticulously rebuilt on the original site of Ren Gong’s Fishing Terrace and opened to the public in 1998. The park covers an area of 120 mu, with architecture primarily designed in a Tang-style aesthetic. The main attraction is the Ren Gong Pavilion, complemented by scenic spots such as Ren Gong’s Fishing Terrace and Jinbo Pavilion. With a green coverage rate of 70%, it is currently the largest comprehensive park in Yixing.
