Yinyuan Park

Yinyuan Park is a specialized garden showcasing Wuxi’s floral and potted plant artistry. It is located beneath Xishan Bridge, facing the Xin Canal and backed by Xishan Mountain. The garden layout features an artificial earthen hill on the southern side, which not only blocks out the miscellaneous views from outside the park but also brings Xishan Mountain into the garden scenery. A long, east-west pool has been dug out in the center of the park, blending mountain vistas with water views.

The main attractions of Yinyuan include: Yunlin Painting Drafts, the Bonsai Tree Exhibition Hall, the Rock & Water Bonsai Exhibition Hall, Lixuan Pavilion, Dubi Bridge, Pufeng Guyu Pavilion, Yixiao Pavilion, Quyun Bridge, and Qishan Tower. The bonsai and floral viewing areas are arranged within a group of classical Chinese garden structures centered around the Lihe Farmhouse, creating a richly varied landscape of flower clusters, flower-covered hills, flower pools, and flower lawns. This makes the compact garden feel winding and layered—stepping from one spot to another reveals constantly changing scenes, each forming a picturesque view on its own; when viewed as a whole, they connect like a long scroll painting, representing a fine example of Chinese garden design artistry.
