Wuxi Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery

The Wuxi Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is a cultural relic protection unit of Wuxi City, a classic red tourism attraction, and a patriotic education base.

The Wuxi Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery was established in 1953 and is situated at Yanjiapeng, Hongguang Village, on the northern foothills of Huishan Mountain (currently at No. 45 Huiqian Road), covering an area of 103 mu. With a green coverage rate of 72%, the cemetery houses a total of 150,000 trees (saplings). The main gate square, memorial tower, martyrs' tomb area, martyrs' memorial pavilion, and martyrs' deeds exhibition hall within the cemetery form a commemorative architectural complex, where the remains of over 200 martyrs rest in peace.

After being listed as one of the third batch of Jiangsu Provincial National Defense Education Bases for the Public, the cemetery has also been honored as a Jiangsu Provincial Patriotic Education Base, a Jiangsu Provincial Key Martyrs' Memorial Building Protection Unit, and a Jiangsu Provincial National Defense Education Demonstration Base. It has also become a quality education base for Jiangnan University, a quality education base for Wuxi youth, and an anti-corruption education base for Wuxi. Every year during the Qingming Festival, city leaders and representatives from government agencies, schools, military units, enterprises, and other sectors of society visit the cemetery to pay tribute to the revolutionary martyrs.
