Originally, Wu Li Xiang Cheng was a major road from Wuxi’s West Gate to Hui Shan. In 1976, when the section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in Wuxi was rerouted, the Wu Li Xiang Cheng was abandoned.
