The China Occupational Clothing Expo Museum is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Situated in Yangzhong City, Zhenjiang, the China Occupational Clothing Expo Museum spans nearly 10,000 square meters of themed exhibition space. With the history of occupational clothing development in China as its central theme, the site includes three major exhibition halls: the Ancient Hall, the Modern Hall, and the Future Hall. Through distinctive perspectives such as occupational clothing R&D, production, and showcasing, the museum effectively preserves the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Chinese nation, displays the vibrant diversity of China’s contemporary tourism industry, and integrates cutting-edge technologies and new materials into clothing R&D. It has become a pioneering force in China's tourism and apparel sector. Since its opening in 2009, the museum has garnered widespread attention and acclaim from domestic and international visitors, including envoys from multiple countries stationed in China. It has been praised as "China's No.1 Brand of Occupational Clothing" and is recognized as China’s first expo museum dedicated to occupational attire.

The China Occupational Clothing Expo Museum is divided into three major sections: the Ancient Hall, the Contemporary Hall, and the Science & Technology Hall. These sections respectively highlight the historical evolution of Chinese occupational clothing, the thriving state of modern global occupational attire, and the humanistic care that technology brings to workwear—all aimed at promoting the cultural legacy of occupational clothing. The overall decor of the Historical Hall of Chinese Occupational Clothing primarily features black, gray, and bronze tones, reflecting the passage of time and historical change. Here, visitors can view garments from primitive and slave societies, with an emphasis on occupational attire from various dynasties starting from the Zhou Dynasty—regarded as the dawn of China’s professional clothing era—characterized by distinct hierarchical dress codes. Hu-style riding attire, Qin terracotta warrior armor, imperial dragon robes, and concubine pomegranate skirts… A rich variety of colorful garments and images vividly showcase occupational clothing from different dynasties, transporting visitors through time to fully appreciate the remarkable evolution and distinctive charm of this branch of Chinese attire throughout history.

The Modern Hall of the China Occupational Clothing Expo Museum is divided into four major exhibition zones: occupational fashion, occupational uniforms, occupational workwear, and occupational protective clothing—each displaying garments according to their different categories and functions. Here, visitors can clearly observe the development and capabilities of modern Chinese occupational attire. The Occupational Fashion zone showcases work attire for professionals such as white-collar, gold-collar, and pink-collar workers across various industries, as well as performance wear and evening gowns. In the Occupational Uniforms zone, visitors can explore uniforms from sectors including aviation, railways, public security, taxation, finance, hospitality, as well as the latest military and school uniforms. The Occupational Workwear zone displays the styles of work clothing used in industries such as electricity, petrochemicals, metallurgy, and electronics. Real-life examples of Occupational Protective Clothing—including heat-resistant, anti-static, radiation-proof, acid-alkali resistant, oil-proof gear, SARS-prevention suits, diving suits, and firefighter protective equipment—allow visitors to genuinely understand the characteristics of different professions and the performance capabilities of their clothing.

Compared to ordinary clothing, the most distinctive feature of occupational attire lies in its technological content. The China Occupational Clothing Science & Technology Hall presents the latest garments and multifunctional fabrics, which serve as a testament to this. A wide array of function-specific clothing—including spacesuits, sharkskin swimsuits, solar-powered garments, bulletproof vests, stealth suits, floating garments, and weight-loss garments—as well as multifunctional fabrics produced using the latest techniques and technologies, will undoubtedly play a significant role in propelling the future development of the occupational clothing industry both in China and worldwide.
