The Yangzhong Garden Expo is themed "Soul of the River, Green Island; Water Rhyme, Fragrant Isle." It is a comprehensive exhibition covering garden flowers, leisure tourism, natural ecology, culture and arts, as well as business exchanges. This is not only a grand gathering for the province’s gardening and horticulture industry but also a significant opportunity to advance the development of Yangzhong, elevate its level of civilization, and present its cultural image.

Yangzhong Garden Expo Park was built to host the 8th Jiangsu Garden Expo. Centered around the expo theme of "Water Rhyme · Fragrant Isle · New Gardens — Let Garden Art Beautify," Yangzhong plans to invest 1.5 billion yuan to construct a 4A-level urban garden on a 1,500-acre site.

The core sections of the Garden Expo Park — “One Core (the river-themed landscape core), One Vein (the wetland water system and water tour route), and One Axis (comprising the main entrance square, wetland net bridge, scenic lake, main exhibition hall, and riverside square)” — have been completed.

Since Yangzhong successfully won the bid to host the 8th Provincial Garden Expo, the municipal Party committee and government have regarded hosting the expo as a major opportunity for urban development, a powerful engine for advancing urban construction, and an important lever for accelerating economic and social progress. They have placed high importance on the preparations for the expo. Key leaders from the municipal Party committee and government have personally overseen the efforts, ensuring the implementation of organization, funding, and measures. Preparations have been made well in advance, actively advancing all construction projects in the Garden Expo Park, including site selection, land acquisition, relocation and resettlement, as well as supporting infrastructure such as roads, pipelines, and landscaping. The goal is to host a high-level, high-quality, and high-taste garden expo.
