Yangzhong Riverside Wetland Park is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Yangzhong Riverside Wetland Park is located south of Yangzhong City, Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, adjacent to the Jiajiang River. It is an ecological recreation park by the Yangtze River that integrates conservation, science education, sightseeing, and leisure. It serves as a major scenic attraction along Yangzhong’s riverside landscape and a model for Yangtze River wetland preservation. Notable sites include the Yingjiang Pavilion, boardwalks, Yingjiang Square, and Wangjiang Platform.

The construction of the Riverside Ecological Wetland Park is a significant decision by Yangzhong to improve people’s livelihood, beautify the environment, and enhance the city’s image. The park is situated south of the city center, adjacent to the Jiajiang River, covering a total area of over 1,000 acres. The ongoing Phase I project spans approximately 415 acres with an investment of about 120 million yuan. It mainly includes the construction of the Yingjiang Pavilion, boardwalks, and Yingjiang Square. The development of the park adheres to the principles of balancing development with conservation, and simultaneously restoring and upgrading the site. Leveraging the existing terrain, vegetation, and landscape, the design follows the natural contours and adapts to local conditions, using the natural features to create scenic elements. It also incorporates unique cultural elements of Yangzhong to establish a wetland recreation park that integrates ecological protection, science education, sightseeing, and leisure. Yangzhong Riverside Ecological Wetland Park will become a key scenic attraction along the city’s riverside and a model for Yangtze River wetland conservation.
