Daijiashan Site

The Daijiashan Site is located on the right bank of the Yangtze River in Dantu Town, on the eastern outskirts of Zhenjiang. It is an elongated mound, about 20 meters above the river surface. The site measures approximately 60 meters in length and 40 meters in width. In 1985, the Zhenjiang Museum conducted a trial excavation and discovered a ash pit containing a certain number of chipped stone tools, ground stone tools, and pottery. The materials used for the chipped stone tools are all black flint, including stone cores, pointed tools, and scrapers, among which there is a wide variety of pointed tools and scrapers. The ground stone tools include axes, spades, and adzes, while the pottery includes tripods, cups, and bean-shaped vessels. The artifacts clearly exhibit features of the Liangzhu culture. The contents of the site are the same as those of the Dantu Mopandun Site, and the period corresponds to the Liangzhu culture era.
