Ma Ling Mountain in Jiangsu is a cultural tourism attraction.

Ma Ling Mountain is located in the southern suburbs of Xinyi City, the premier transportation hub on the Eurasian continent. It stretches from Lanshan in Shandong in the north to Suqian in the south. The Ma Ling Mountain Scenic Area in Jiangsu Province is situated 10 kilometers south of downtown Xinyi. Historically known as Siwu Mountain, it is also called Wu Mountain. It consists of five peaks: Fengshan, Dou Shan, Hushan, Nainai Shan, and Huanghuacai Ling, which locals call the “Five Sisters Mountains.” Among these, Fengshan’s Wuhuading is the main peak, renowned for its majestic scenery that stands out across the Jianghuai region.

The scenic area is famed for its unique natural landscapes, rich historical and cultural heritage, and diverse flora and fauna. Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty visited the area six times during his southern tours and made three trips to Siwu Mountain. He wrote the verse, “Though Zhongwu may seem no more than a fist-sized rock, it has long possessed a share of the landscape’s beauty,” vividly praising the splendor of Ma Ling Mountain.

The Ma Ling Mountain Scenic Area spans approximately 60 square kilometers, with a planned area of 28.9 square kilometers. The overall layout includes three major scenic zones: the Sanxian Cave Scenic Area, the core and most essential part, covering 11.8 square kilometers; the Huangchao Lake Scenic Area, characterized by natural wilderness and water activities, spanning 11.28 square kilometers; and the Huating Scenic Area, which focuses on the rich historical and cultural significance of the “Huating Ancient Cultural Site” and offers educational touristic value, covering 6.82 square kilometers.
