Yanzi Tower Park, formerly known as Yunlong Park, is located on the south side of Wangling Road in the city center. It borders Yunlong Mountain to the east, Suzhou Dyke to the south, and extends northward into the urban area. Covering an area of 361 acres, including 120 acres of water surface, it is one of the city’s earlier developed, large-scale comprehensive parks situated close to the downtown area. It welcomes around 1.7 million visitors annually.

Before the liberation, Yunlong Park was a cemetery for both Christian and Buddhist burial grounds. In 1958, the Xuzhou Municipal People’s Government, aiming to meet the public's demand for cultural and recreational activities, mobilized volunteer labor from across the city.

Water pavilions were set up, flower gardens were established, hills and islands were formed, bridges and corridors were built, and a wide variety of trees were planted, gradually creating a beautifully scenic destination for both tourists and local residents to enjoy.

Yunlong Park adopts a natural landscaping approach and consists of six scenic areas: the Bonsai Garden, Zhichun Island, the Lotus Pavilion Water Pavilion, the Rockery Flower Corridor, the Flower Garden, and the Amusement Zone. The Bonsai Garden, also known as “Yilin,” is located on the north side inside the east gate and is a uniquely distinctive bonsai-themed garden in the city. Covering a total area of 13,800 square meters, including 4,300 square meters of water surface, it was opened to the public in 1982. The garden architecture features the Lingnan style, with landscape and water complementing each other, and attractions arranged in a picturesque, poetic layout. Over 3,000 locally distinctive bonsai works on display amaze visitors. The Zhichun Island scenic area spans 500 square meters and is named for its abundance of early-spring blooming plants such as winter jasmine and spring plum blossoms.
