Xuzhou Art Gallery is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Xuzhou Art Gallery is located by the picturesque Yunlong Lake in downtown Xuzhou, nestled against Yunlong Mountain to the east and Yunlong Lake to the south. It stands at the heart of the Civic Square and is seamlessly integrated with the Lakeside New World commercial and leisure district, offering a stunning setting where nature and architecture blend beautifully.

Xuzhou Art Gallery is a key municipal project invested in by the city government and operated by the Xuzhou Newspaper Media Group. With a total investment of over 400 million yuan, it covers a site area of 18,720 square meters and a total construction area of 23,114 square meters. The building features a simple yet grand design with a strong modern aesthetic, serving as a landmark structure that showcases the city’s cultural image.

Xuzhou Art Gallery has five floors: The basement level is mainly used for hosting large-scale exhibitions and gallery transactions; the first floor houses two permanent exhibition halls — “Modern and Contemporary Xuzhou and Chinese Art Literature Exhibition” and “Chinese Contemporary Artists from Xuzhou Exhibition” — along with three temporary exhibition halls, a multifunctional hall, and a VIP reception hall, providing spaces for art display and academic exchange; the second floor is an open “urban living room” where citizens can relax while enjoying views of the lake and mountains; the third floor features the permanent exhibition “Xuzhou Folk Collectibles Fine Exhibition,” which primarily displays “three hards and one soft” — namely, bronzeware, ceramics, jade and odd stones, as well as calligraphy and paintings — and also includes functions for exhibit transactions; the fourth floor is dedicated to art training, art trading, and art leisure activities.

Since its opening in late 2009, Xuzhou Art Gallery has successfully hosted numerous major exhibitions and events, including the “Xuzhou Century Hundred Chinese Painting Works Exhibition,” “CCTV Treasure Hunt – Coming to Xuzhou,” “The Power of Replication – International Academy of Art Design Exhibition,” and “Exhibition of Works by Renowned Contemporary Russian Oil Painters,” as well as hundreds of joint and solo exhibitions. These have achieved significant social and economic benefits, making the gallery a hub for art display and exchange in the Huaihai Economic Zone.
