Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall

The Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall is a classic red tourism attraction.

The Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall is located to the west of Shangpo Village, Chengguan Town, Rongcheng County. It was built in 1986 to commemorate the martyrs from Rongcheng among the Five Heroes of Langya Mountain during the War of Resistance against Japan, namely Hu Delin and Hu Fucai, as well as the soldiers of the Eighth Route Army who sacrificed their lives in the Battle of Gaojia’ao, and all the revolutionary martyrs who died in various battles since the establishment of the Communist Party of China in Rongcheng County in 1926.

The southern side of the memorial hall is trapezoidal, while the northern side is triangular. The maximum length from north to south is 66 meters, and the maximum width from east to west is 52 meters, covering an area of 2,560 square meters. There are two exhibition halls, three stele pavilions, and a martyr cemetery to the north rear stage, with the full view extending 2 meters south to the surrounding wall and four rooms to the north. To the east of the wall is the central street of the county town, to the south is an alleyway, and to the west and north are residential areas. The structure is well preserved.

In August 1987, the memorial hall was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit. The protected area is based on the flagpole inside the hall, extending 17.7 meters south to the wall, 42 meters north to the wall, 24.7 meters east to the main gate, and 28 meters west to the wall.
