North Backstage Martyrs' Cemetery

The North Backstage Martyrs' Cemetery is a cultural tourism attraction and a classic red tourism site.

The martyrs' cemetery is located 300 meters southwest of Beihoutai Village, Jiaguang Township, 7.5 kilometers north of Rongcheng County. It is rectangular in shape, measuring 82 meters from north to south and 39 meters from east to west, covering an area of 2,174 square meters, with farmland on all sides. The cemetery was first built in 1946 to commemorate the ninety-seven martyrs of the 32nd Regiment of the Eighth Route Army who heroically sacrificed their lives during the War of Resistance against Japan in the winter of 1940. It was damaged by bandits in 1947, after which a simple memorial archway was erected. It was renovated in 1974 and is now well preserved. In August 1980, the site was listed as a county-level cultural relics protection unit. The protected area is defined with the memorial monument as the center point: 80 meters north to the perimeter wall, 80 meters east to the perimeter wall, and 11.5 meters west to the perimeter wall.
