Located at the north end of the canal bridge in Sucheng District, it initially featured water activities such as rubber rafting, a large bridal sedan chair ride, the "Laugh Till You Drop" water park, Korean BBQ, and a fishing center. The total investment was 800,000 yuan, with 120 million yuan invested in infrastructure and landscaping. Managed by the Sucheng District Tourism and Culture Research Association (affiliated with the Sucheng District CPPCC), it was established through a public-private partnership approach, supported and guided by the Suqian Sunset Red Travel Agency Co., Ltd. and Nanjing Tianchuang Travel Agency Co., Ltd. Built upon the transformation of the canal scenic belt, it fully integrates natural surroundings with cultural heritage, allowing visitors to enjoy recreation while connecting with nature and achieving harmony between humanity and the environment. Guests can also experience the cultural charm of the ancient canal in an educational and entertaining way. On weekends, visitor numbers surge compared to weekdays. Under the blue sky, children play in the drift area, young people float along the gentle currents on rafts, and fishing enthusiasts sit quietly at the fishing center. At night, the illuminated canal scenic belt takes on a vibrant look, and the First Drift on the Thousand-Mile Canal shines like a poetic painting under the fantastical lights. As the canal scenic belt continues to be developed and improved, the First Drift on the Thousand-Mile Canal will become increasingly popular, serving as a great leisure destination for Suqian residents and an attractive highlight along the canal scenic belt.
