Huadu Forest Park

Located in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, Huadu Forest Park was approved as a provincial-level forest park by the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Forestry in 1999. It lies 8 kilometers west of downtown Yancheng, within the territory of Longgang Town in Yandu District. Provincial Highway 233 (Yan-Huai) runs through the park, which is 4 kilometers from the Zhangzhuang exit of the Ningjing-Yan Expressway. Buses No. 3 and No. 13 from downtown Yancheng go directly to the park. It is a distinctive forest park integrating tourism, eco-orchard experiences, dining, leisure, and entertainment. The park welcomes around 100,000 visitors annually.

The land of Huadu Forest Park is long and narrow, stretching out flat as far as the eye can see. The air is fresh, filled with birdsong and cicada chirps, surrounded by woods and classical architecture that is both grand and magnificent. The park covers a total area of 6,000 mu, including 3,500 mu of fruit orchards, 1,000 mu of forested land, and is known as the "Green Corridor" in northern Jiangsu. It is one of Yancheng’s main scenic areas, as well as a national pollution-free fruit production base. With 2,500 mu of pollution-free fruit cultivation, it grows over 50 varieties including duck pear, Chili pear, Fucui apple, Dahuabao chestnut, and Dafozhi ginkgo. The annual yield reaches 12 million kilograms. The main product, duck pear, has been awarded the “Jiangsu Province High-Quality Fruit Gold Award” and is among the first batch of pollution-free agricultural products in Jiangsu Province, with all physical and chemical quality indicators meeting national green food standards. Huadu Forest Park is also home to many touching classical legends, such as Xue Rengui’s “Expedition East Pavilion” and “Broken Hull Bottom,” the “Dragon Bed Field” where the young Emperor Qin once rested while commanding legendary feats, leaving behind the “Broken Ridge Gully” after falling into a trap, and the “Mouse Gully” where descendants of Emperor Yang of Sui sought refuge…

Longgang Town: Located in Yandu District, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, Longgang Town sits in the western suburbs of Yancheng.
