Dayunshan Temple

Dayunshan Temple is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and cultural tourism site.

A national AAA-level tourist attraction, located in Dagang Town, Yandu District. Also known as Shan Gongdian, Dayunshan Temple was first built during the Tang Dynasty, boasting a history of over 1,300 years. The temple was destroyed by fire in the early Qing Dynasty but was later rebuilt and expanded in the mid-Qing Dynasty by Monk Xiangfen, including the construction of the main hall, meditation room, incense kitchen, dining hall, and side rooms in a total of four connected courtyards comprising 108 rooms. It was the foremost among the "Three Mountains" — along with Biyun Mountain at Xiema Ting and Ziyun Mountain at Liuzhuang — and had disciples spread far and wide. In 1942, it was once again destroyed during wartime. In 2001, the local government invested over 15 million yuan to restore this historical and cultural heritage, constructing the first phase of the project according to the architectural styles of the Tang and Song Dynasties. This phase included structures such as the mountain gate, Guanyin Hall, Dizang Hall, side halls, side rooms, corridors, and a liberation pond. The second phase, which involved the construction of the Mahavira Hall, was completed in 2012. In 2013, it was successfully rated as a national AA-level tourist attraction.
