China’s ginkgo trees are in Taixing, and Taixing’s ginkgos are best seen in Xuanbao. The national-level Ancient Ginkgo Group Forest Park and the ginkgo market are located in the ancient town of Xuanbao. Blessed with outstanding people and abundant natural resources, this town boasts an exceptionally rich ginkgo resource and is renowned as the “No. 1 Ginkgo Town in China.” The core distribution area of ginkgo trees in the town is around Zhanghe, where the density of ancient ginkgos is unparalleled in the world. According to statistics, the core area currently has over 13,800 planted ginkgo trees, including 4,520 fruit-bearing trees, 3 ginkgos over 1,000 years old, 1,600 ginkgos over 200 years old, and more than 3,800 ginkgos over 100 years old. The grand canopies and low trunks of the ancient ginkgos form a unique silhouette that is characteristic of Taixing's ginkgo trees. These majestic trees are either clustered around villages or scattered along ditches and roadsides, blending harmoniously with nature and creating picturesque scenery that varies beautifully with the seasons. In spring, tender branches sprout fresh green leaves; in summer, they provide dense shade; in autumn, golden fruits hang heavily, filling the air with fragrance; and in winter, the twisted branches brave the cold winds and snow, offering a breathtaking sight that delights the eye and lifts the spirit. The park attracts scholars and tourists from 16 countries and regions across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas for sightseeing and research, and experts have praised it as “a natural wonder and a paradise for leisure.”
