Taixing Park

Taixing Park is located on the north side of the Rutai Canal and at the intersection of North Jichuan Road. It officially opened on May 28, 2003. Covering an area of 230 acres, including 90 acres of water surface, the park is divided into five functional zones: the Ecological Islands Area, Water Activity Area, Cultural Memorial Area, Floral Landscape Area, and Leisure & Entertainment Area. The Ecological Islands Area is located in the northern part of the park, featuring mainly trees and grass without any artificial decoration or constructed scenic spots, giving visitors a sense of returning to nature. The Water Activity Area is the large water expanse on the north side of the park, offering activities such as drifting cabins, leisure fishing, and boating, which fully cater to people’s love for water. The Cultural Memorial Area is situated in the central-western part of the park, with its main attraction being the Memorial Hall for the Martyrs of the Zhong’an Ship Tragedy. This memorial hall was built by the provincial government in our city to commemorate the 800 martyrs who lost their lives while crossing the river during the northward withdrawal of the New Fourth Army’s Su-Zhe Military Region.
