Fuhui Temple

Fuhui Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Taixing Fuhui Temple is located in Huangqiao Town, Taixing City. Originally built during the Tian Sheng era of the Northern Song Dynasty (1026 AD), it was restored in 2000. The temple complex consists of an imposing cluster of shrines, including the Guan Di Temple, Medicine King Temple, City God Temple, Dutian Palace, East Temple, and Fire God Temple, among which the East Temple is the most renowned. The East Temple has five courtyards in total: the first is the Vajra Hall, adjacent to East Main Street; the second is the Guanyin Hall; the third is the Arhat Hall; the fourth is the Mahavira Hall; and the fifth is the Scripture Depository. Stretching over a hundred meters in depth, it is majestic and spectacular. The statues of the Maitreya Buddha, the Three Ages of Buddha, and the Barefoot Guanyin inside the temple are grand, majestic, and exquisitely carved. For centuries, the temple has enjoyed flourishing incense offerings and widespread fame, and is praised by locals as the “No. 1 Ancient Temple in Northern Jiangsu.”
