The New Fourth Army Huangqiao Campaign Memorial Hall is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

The New Fourth Army Huangqiao Campaign Memorial Hall is located within the Ding Family Garden at No. 10 Michang, Huangqiao Town, Taixing City, Jiangsu Province. The garden features winding corridors and paths, exuding an elegant and classic charm.

Preparations for the Huangqiao Campaign Memorial Hall began in early 1979, and it was officially approved for public opening by the Jiangsu Provincial Government in October 1980. The entire museum covers an area of 4,820 square meters and oversees three revolutionary heritage sites: the former site of the New Fourth Army Northern Jiangsu Command — Huangqiao Middle School, the former site of the Tong, Ru, Jing, Tai Administrative Committee — Ding Family Garden, and the former site of the Third Column Headquarters — Yan Fuxing Building.

In 1990, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the victory of the Huangqiao Campaign, provincial and municipal governments allocated funds to expand the Huangqiao Memorial Hall. The western part of the Ding Family Garden was turned into an exhibition hall, doubling the display area. The thematic exhibition is divided into four sections: “Prelude Hall,” “Historical Background of the Huangqiao Campaign,” “The Huangqiao Campaign: Opening a New Chapter in the Central China Resistance War,” and “Carrying Forward Revolutionary Traditions.”

Huangqiao Development Zone (Huangqiao Town): Huangqiao is situated on the north bank of the Yangtze River and is the largest town in central and northern Jiangsu. The town covers an area of 72.4 square kilometers, with a total population of 100,000, including a built-up area of 6.5 square kilometers inhabited by 63,000 people. Historically, Huangqiao has been known as a key water transport hub, “connecting the Huai and Japanese regions to the north and linking to the Yangtze tides to the south.” Provincial Highway 334, the Ru-Huang Line, and the Jiang-Ba Line intersect within the town. The Ningjing-Yan and Ning-Tong expressways pass close to Huangqiao, and the Xinyi-Changxing Railway has a passenger and freight marshalling station in Huangqiao.
