Known as the “Finest Ancestral Hall North of the Yangtze,” the He Clan Ancestral Hall was first built during the Ming Dynasty. The hall is grand in scale and well-preserved. The main hall is majestic and solemn in an ancient style. Its distinctive architectural features—such as lotus-leaf-shaped pedestals supporting the beams, hat-wing-like decorations on beam supports, post-and-lintel construction, and vase-shaped pillar bases—are rarely seen in northern Jiangsu.

During the 1940 Battle of Huangqiao, this site served as the Rear Service Committee. It was designated as a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit in 1982. The museum houses precious cultural artifacts such as Ming Dynasty folding screens, Forbidden City golden bricks, and Jingdezhen porcelain paintings.
