Xinghua Museum

The current building of Xinghua Museum was constructed in 1993. It is a three-story building in a traditional Chinese architectural style, featuring white walls, black tiles, and horse-head walls that give it an antique charm. Inside, the museum showcases sculptural murals, small bridges over flowing water, elevated walkways, connecting corridors, lush bamboo and trees, and a rich fragrance of flowers. In front of the main entrance lies a square, at the center of which stands a four-sided pavilion with double eaves and upturned corners — the Four-Brand Tower (Sipailou). The interior and exterior of the Sipailou are adorned with 47 plaques, commemorating the distinguished talents and heroes in Xinghua’s history. Most of these plaques were inscribed by renowned contemporary calligraphers and painters, making them true artistic treasures.
