Guide Sanjia Port is situated at the mouth of ChuanYang River, the “mother river” of Pudong, and features the only 6-kilometer stretch of living shoreline in Pudong New Area. There, the water blends seamlessly with the sky, the air is clear, and the climate is mild. The Sanjia Port Seaside Tourist Area centers around leisure tourism, employs high technology as its platform, and promotes visitor interaction, creating a seaside resort that showcases four major features—coastal scenery, modern architecture, pastoral charm, and green spaces—to meet the needs of various visitor types.

Highlights As the mouth of the Yangtze River, Pudong’s Sanjia Port offers expansive views and is an excellent spot to watch the sunrise over the sea.

Sanjia Port Seaside Park is located at the border between Chuansha and Nanhui districts in Pudong New Area. Here, the mighty Yangtze River merges with the East China Sea. The most memorable experience when visiting Sanjia Port is witnessing the spectacular sight of seawater and river water colliding and blending during the tides.

In addition to enjoying the sea, fun recreational activities include beach camping, seaside barbecues, bonfire parties, and horseback riding along the shore. Dining/Accommodation/Shopping: Overnight stays on the beach range from 280 to 580 RMB for seaside cottage villas, while beach tent camping (with moisture-proof mats and sleeping bags) costs 150 RMB per tent (with a 200 RMB deposit). A beach barbecue typically costs around 150 RMB.

Transportation

Take Exit 5 of Lujiazui Station on Metro Line 2, then board the Cai-Lu Special Line directly to your destination (approximately a 90-minute drive).

Self-driving route: Outer Ring Road (Wusong Tunnel) → Longdong Avenue → Yuandong Avenue → Huaxia East Road (drive east all the way)

Outer Ring Road (Xupu Bridge) → Yingbin Avenue (A1 Line eastbound) → Yuandong Avenue (northbound) → Huaxia East Road

The price for joining a beach bonfire activity is 300 RMB per bonfire per hour, and the ticket for the water park is 50 RMB per person.

Horseback riding around the sea costs 100 RMB per person.
