Oriental Green Boat is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a patriotic education base.

Oriental Green Boat is located in Qingpu District, Shanghai. It is the only large-scale park in Shanghai that integrates outdoor training, youth social practice, team activities, and leisure tourism. Situated by the scenic Dianshan Lake, it covers an area of 5,600 acres, including 2,000 acres of water. The park is divided into eight major zones: the Knowledge Avenue area, the Brave and Wise area, the National Defense Education area, the Survival Challenge area, the Science Exploration area, the Water Sports area, the Sports Training area, and the Life Practice area.

　Established in 2000, Oriental Green Boat is one of Shanghai’s major projects to implement the strategy of revitalizing the country through science and education and to promote quality-oriented education. It is also a special gift from the municipal government to millions of young people for the new century. Located in the southwest of Qingpu District, Shanghai, by the scenic Dianshan Lake, the park spans 5,600 acres, including 2,000 acres of water surface. ...110,000 trees, and over 400 species of flowers and plants. It boasts Shanghai’s longest waterside platform (2.4 kilometers along Dianshan Lake), the largest cluster of sculptures (over 160 statues), and 16 major attractions such as Wisdom Avenue, a full-scale aircraft carrier replica, a submarine, a lakeside plaza, Fisherman’s Wharf, Moon Bay, and Global Village. There are also more than 30 activity options, including rock climbing, fun bridge experiences, science exploration, outdoor training, quality assessment, and military experience.

Flora

With its vast waterscapes, lush greenery, grand architectural complexes, and fully equipped outdoor facilities, Oriental Green Boat meets a wide range of needs for educational practice, sports and leisure, and sightseeing. It caters to students and tourists of all ages and backgrounds, attracting approximately 1.2 million domestic and international visitors each year. It has become the China International Youth Activity Center (Shanghai), the country’s largest youth extracurricular activity base, the largest sports training base, the most popular leisure tourism destination for citizens, the most distinctive hub for cultural exchange between China and foreign countries, and the most modern garden demonstration site.
