On December 12, 2015, at Bailu Park in Suzhou, at Colorful Yunnan Ancient Dian City in Kunming, and at Olympic Forest Park in Beijing, the third edition of Channel 5’s original running event “Love Run” was ceremoniously held on the same day in all three cities. Over a thousand runners participated across the three locations, together launching the New Year’s “Love Run.”
In addition to the offline events in these three cities across East China, Southwest China, and North China, Channel 5’s New Year “Love Run” also features nationwide online activities. From now until midnight on January 1, 2016, no matter where you are, you can join the New Year “Love Run” online event via Channel 5’s omnimedia platforms (Channel 5 APP, WeChat public account), showcasing your run and love, and winning prizes.
On December 12, at Bailu Park in Suzhou, over 300 team members competed in groups, sharing the unity and drive of being “on the same path, working together.” Many participants’ families also joined in to cheer them on and run side by side. The Suzhou “Love Run” received strong support from the Suzhou public security system, with many officers forming teams to take part. One participant said, “Health and teamwork are two cornerstones of success at work. And the Love Run event helps build both—very efficiently.”
At Colorful Yunnan Ancient Dian City in Kunming, nearly a hundred families ran joyfully, enjoying the beauty of exercise and companionship. One mother said, “A child’s growth comes from imitating their parents. Parents must exercise with their children to help them develop the habit. Today, my child earned their first medal through their own efforts, and we were all very moved.”
At Olympic Forest Park in Beijing, over a hundred experienced runners also experienced the unique feeling brought by “Love Run.” One runner said, “Other races are about running alone at full speed, but the essence of Love Run is helping your teammates perform their best. That takes a lot of patience and love, but those are the most precious things in life.”
As an original running event brand of Channel 5, “Love Run” is a race based on “human relationships,” using running to promote communication between people and using sports to delight those you cherish. “Love Run” has a simple yet unique format: only team registrations are accepted, and each team must include both men and women. Teams must cross the finish line together as one. “Love Run” offers unlimited possibilities for various groups such as families, partners, and teams. For example, on February 14, the first “Love Run” event was held on Valentine’s Day at Olympic Forest Park in Beijing, with a focus on couples; on June 6, the second event took place at Dadian Lake Park in Qingpu District, Shanghai, themed around “family, parent-child bonding, and health.” “Love Run” is not just about running—it’s also a fun gathering. In addition to race refreshments, participants also receive a series of exclusive souvenirs, including customizable team names and slogans, fun group photos, custom result certificates, and custom medals.
The New Year “Love Run” online event is about to begin. From now until December 31, more great gifts await. Please stay tuned:
