Dianshan Lake Scenic Area (Dianshan Lake Wetland) is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

Originally called Xue Dian Lake, it is known as the "Oriental Lake Geneva." Located 15 kilometers west of Qingpu District, it spans both Shanghai’s Qingpu and Kunshan in Jiangsu Province, connecting to Yangcheng Lake in the east and Taihu Lake in the west. The lake stretches 15 kilometers from east to west, approximately 30 kilometers from north to south, with a shoreline of about 100 kilometers and covers an area of 95,000 mu. The lake water is crystal clear like a mirror, with misty trees along the shore. Dianshan Lake is also a picturesque tourist destination, where a large number of cultural relics and scenic spots have been preserved and restored. The Dianshan Lake Tourist Area has been developed, featuring beautiful lake and mountain views in an elegant environment, covering about 1,600 mu. The area is divided into eastern and western sections by the Qing-Shang Highway running through it. The eastern part consists of natural attractions, including an over 380-meter-long man-made dike called “Willow Dike Spring Dawn,” where willows and flowers thrive, bridges and dikes complement each other, and beyond the dike lies the vast sparkling lake merging with the sky, offering a panoramic view of Dianshan Lake. The western section is a traditional-style street named “Ancient Charm of Stone City,” serving as the central area for visitor services. Within “Ancient Charm of Stone City” stands a seven-story ancient-style pagoda, 47 meters high. This pagoda also functions as a water tower, with the sixth floor serving as a water storage tank. In recent years, many new tourist venues have been built around Dianshan Lake, such as Shanghai Grand View Garden, designed based on the scenery and layout described in the classic novel "Dream of the Red Chamber," a youth camping base, Ethnic Culture Village, Foke Yacht Club, and Sun-Moon Island Resort. Accessible via the Hu-Qing Line and Tourism Route 4.
