Zhujiajiao Daqian Ecological Park is located at No. 1 Xiyangdian, Zhujiajiao, Shanghai. It is a pastoral farm characterized by natural ecology and rural charm, covering an area of 600 acres, including 400 acres of lakes and wetlands alone. The park is home to a wide variety of animals, such as sika deer, peacocks, golden pheasants, turkeys, guineafowl, as well as cattle, sheep, horses, donkeys, yaks, and camels, which roam freely and interact with visitors. The vast lake surfaces are frequented by various bird species, including swans, wild geese, mallards, and mandarin ducks. In the center of the lake, nearly 100 acres of reed beds provide habitat for wild egrets and grey herons. Every morning, flocks of birds leave their nests to forage at Dianshan Lake, and in the evening, they return in large numbers, circling above the estate. The lake contains millions of pounds of fish, making it a natural fishing spot. The estate also raises nearly 10,000 White King Pigeons and features a dog exhibition park that is especially popular with children. The greatest joys include feeding swans by the lake, catching wild rabbits on Rabbit Island, collecting duck eggs on Duck Island, and fishing for crayfish in the stream. For those staying overnight, baiting the lake in the evening promises a full basket of wild eels by morning.
