The Great Qing Zhujiajiao Post Office

The Great Qing Zhujiajiao Post Office was established in 1903 as the earliest postal institution in the region. It was one of the thirteen major post stations in Shanghai at the time and is the only remaining site of a Great Qing post office in East China. The newly renovated Great Qing Zhujiajiao Post Office retains the original formal layout of the post office, further enhancing the site’s visual appeal. It brings history to life with a modern perspective, recreating the century-old charm of the ancient town's postal service, and uncovering the long history of China's postal system. This has added a new highlight to the Zhujiajiao scenic area.
