The Dongxiang Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery serves as a patriotic education base.

The Qingpu Dongxiang Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery, commonly known as the Huoshaomiao Martyrs' Tomb, was built on Tomb-Sweeping Day in 1939. This site was originally a major base for the peasant movement in eastern Qingpu during the Great Revolution. In June 1987, it was approved by the Qingpu County People's Government as a key protected unit of martyrs' memorial buildings, and in 1994, it was designated as a patriotic education base for youth. In October 1999, the cemetery was officially named “Qingpu Dongxiang Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery,” becoming a site for commemorating and paying tribute to revolutionary martyrs.

The cemetery includes three burial areas: central, eastern, and western. At the center of the burial grounds stands an 11-meter-tall vermilion memorial tower, with the eight red characters “革命烈士永垂不朽” (“Eternal Glory to the Revolutionary Martyrs”) engraved on the front. The Dongxiang Revolutionary Martyrs' Tomb houses the remains and ashes of 350 martyrs from Qingpu or who sacrificed their lives in Qingpu while fighting for China’s liberation and socialist construction. Among them, 258 died in the War of Resistance against Japan, 57 in the Liberation War, 12 in service-related incidents after the founding of the People’s Republic of China in national defense, economic development, bandit suppression, land reform, and disaster relief efforts, and 23 were Chinese People’s Volunteers who died on the Korean battlefield during the Korean War.
