Zhujiajiao Zhuxi Ecological Avenue serves as a patriotic education base.

Zhuxi Ecological Avenue is located at the junction of Zhujiajiao’s old and new town areas, and is an entirely ecological scenic road. The road stretches approximately 3 kilometers in length, with an average green belt width of 160 meters and a total green area of 48 hectares. Along the Zhuxi Road, there are eight waterways of varying sizes, including the famous Dianpu River.

The overall landscape design of Zhuxi Road is divided into three key sections: the southern entrance, the central entrance, and the northern entrance. The southern entrance incorporates landscape elements such as water, stone, open lawns, and tall, straight green bamboo, using water to emphasize the entrance and carrying this theme throughout the entire road. At the central entrance, multiple waterways converge, and the landscape design treats the existing channels as natural stream boundaries. The northern entrance features fish ponds and rice paddies rich in the charm of a water town, set against a backdrop of natural clusters of trees, with water, crops, and lawns serving as the main landscape elements. Twenty-two cultural stones, serving as beautiful cultural landmarks along Zhuxi Road, are scattered along both sides of the road. These stones are engraved with poems and calligraphy created by people from various walks of life, including specially commissioned works for Zhuxi Road such as “Ode to the Pearl Stream,” “Spring Stroll Along Zhuxi Road,” and “Meditations on Zhuxi Road.”
