Luotuodun Ancient Cultural Site

The Luotuodun Ancient Cultural Site is a cultural heritage preservation unit of Qingpu District.

The Luotuodun Ancient Cultural Site (Luotuodun Guwenhua Yizhi) is located in Beimiao Village, Zhonggu Town, Qingpu County. It was discovered in 1957, with relics dating from the Western Zhou Dynasty to the late Warring States Period. In 1959, it was designated as a county-level protected site.

Zhonggu Town: Located in the western suburbs of Shanghai and seven kilometers northeast of Qingpu District, Zhonggu Town is a typical Jiangnan ancient town. Currently, the town covers a total area of 27.3 square kilometers, including 1,425 hectares of arable land. As of the end of 2004, the town had a total of 5,618 households, with a resident population of 24,996, of which 16,262 were registered residents and 8,734 were migrants. The natural population growth rate was -0.79‰.
