Heilongjiang Postal Museum

The Heilongjiang Postal Museum was originally built in 1921 and completed for use in 1922. Its initial function was as the office building of the Beiman Postal Administration. The structure is a three-story brick-concrete building. It features a symmetrical floor plan, with the main façade laid out in a horizontal three-part and vertical five-part composition. The lower section has imitation stone baseboards, the middle part features imitation brick-pattern decorations, with a prominent waistline. The main entrance is located on the central axis, topped with a broken pediment. Each floor has different window designs, and the spandrels between windows are adorned with square giant columns that span two stories. The parapet, composed of broken pediments and railings, features a rich variety of forms. The building is richly decorated and exhibits strong architectural expressiveness. The Heilongjiang Postal Museum consists of sections including "Chronicles of Postal History," "The Vast Courier Routes – The Origins and Evolution of Ancient Postal Services in Heilongjiang," "The Lifeline of the Nation – The Establishment and Development of Modern Postal Services in Heilongjiang," "Postal Dance Across Heilongjiang – The Development and Leap of Contemporary Postal Services in Heilongjiang," the Heilongjiang Postal Services Exhibition Hall, the Stamp Treasures Hall, and the Stamps and Postcards Hall. According to reports, the museum houses over 1,000 cultural relics, including precious items such as the Qin Dynasty Du Tiger Tally, Yuan Dynasty Imperial Edict Gold Medallion, and the "China Red" stamp; it also holds more than 500 pieces of photographic and documentary materials, including rare items such as the photo used for the first edition of the Mao Zedong stamp.

Opening Hours: Groups are welcome from Monday to Thursday; individual visitors from the public can visit on Fridays and Saturdays. The museum is closed on Sundays. Opening hours: 9:00 to 15:00
