The Da Zhan River National Forest Park is located within the jurisdiction of the Zhanhe Forestry Bureau in Wudalianchi City, Heilongjiang Province, on the northern foothills of the Lesser Khingan Mountains, 30 kilometers away from the world-renowned Wudalianchi Volcanic Scenic Area, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site.

The Da Zhan River has been hailed by experts, scholars, and overseas explorers as the "Three Gorges of the North" for its uniquely beautiful scenery. Experts and scholars from the United States, Japan, France, Italy, Australia, and other countries have conducted research here. The river winds its way from south to north, flanked by steep cliffs and dense forests. The harmonious blend of river and mountain creates diverse and stunning landscapes. Some sections of the river flow as still as a mirror, while others feature scattered pebbles and rushing waves, with crystal-clear waters embodying the dynamism of the Three Gorges and the serenity of the Li River. Originating from an uninhabited area deep in the high mountains and dense forests, the Da Zhan River stretches over 200 kilometers before flowing into the Heilongjiang River. The entire basin is uninhabited, making it the only unpolluted river in Asia.

The Da Zhan River basin features dense primeval forests, encompassing original mountainous terrain, woodlands, valleys, wetlands, and forest climates. It offers unique rafting resources, forest resources, scientific research and adventure opportunities, Oroqen ethnic culture tourism, and forest railway experiences that are unmatched across the province. Multiple media outlets, including China Central Television, have featured special reports on the Da Zhan River. On July 3, 2003, the *Heilongjiang Daily* reported that river rafting in Heilongjiang began with the Da Zhan River. This is a natural oxygen bar and a paradise for forest bathing, acclaimed as the “Number One Rafting Experience in China.”

In winter, the area is covered in a silvery blanket of snow, with accumulations reaching up to 2 meters. Nature creates breathtaking and indescribably beautiful icy artworks. In summer, visitors can witness rapidly changing weather, rolling clouds and rosy clouds. Sunshine on the eastern side and rain on the western side, rainbows in the forest, clouds enveloping the mountaintops, and the roaring pine forest all present majestic views. The echoes in the valley and the fragrance in the air, along with the serene blue waters and towering mountains, create a stunning landscape. Under the blue sky and white clouds, this land showcases its purity and beauty, as well as the wonder and magic of nature.

The park is divided into six scenic areas with 23 scenic spots, covering a total area of 16,300 hectares. The six scenic areas are the Forest Culture and Entertainment Center, Lianhuan Lake Scenic Area, Mountain Wilderness Forest Bathing Area, Yaquan Mountain “Sacred Water” Scenic Area, Da Zhan Rafting Sightseeing Area, and Snow Source Recreation Area.
