The Marvel of Shilong Wenbo

“Wenbo” is a bonsai-like volcanic lake situated on an expansive lava plateau, stretching over 1,200 meters in length with an average depth of 0.8 meters and a maximum depth of about 10 meters. Wenbo is known for its three wonders: First, the “High Magnetic Lake,” which is the most ideal area for environmental magnetic therapy; second, the “High-Altitude Hot Spring,” which remains steaming hot even in the depths of winter; third, the “One Lake, Three Scenes,” where within a water area of identical geographical conditions, three distinct landscapes vary greatly from one another, creating an astonishing and marvelous sight. Source Pool: This is the origin of the underground springs of Wenbo. The water features five-colored mosses on the stone dragon lava plateau, resembling an underwater world with stunning hues of earthy yellow, light gray, and dark brown alternating in color. Mysterious Pool: It is the largest in area, where a stone frog appears to guard the inlet. Small fish and tadpoles dart swiftly through the water. Even when outdoor temperatures drop to -38°C in winter and everything around is frozen, this pool remains unfrozen — truly a case of “miraculous water and fish creating an extraordinary scene.” Fairyland Pool: This is the end pool of Wenbo. Here, you can hear birds chirping nearby, the sound of flowing water, and see green aquatic plants. It is also the main scenic area for the winter phenomena of Wenbo Mist and Wenbo Flying Flowers.
