Daqing Lindian Hot Spring Sanatorium

The Daqing Lindian Hot Spring Sanatorium is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Lindian hot spring was discovered in August 1975 as an oil and gas exploration well drilled by the Daqing Petroleum Administration. It was also the first naturally flowing well developed and utilized in Lindian County. The hot spring well is 1,792 meters deep, with a constant water temperature of 39.5–41.5°C.

The water is clear and transparent, rich in a variety of trace elements beneficial to the human body, including strontium, bromine, iodine, metasilicic acid, fluorine, sodium bicarbonate, and sodium chloride. According to an appraisal by the Heilongjiang Institute of Geological and Mineral Testing and Application, it is a boron-containing bicarbonate-chloride-sodium-fluorine therapeutic hot mineral spring water, as well as a composite natural mineral drinking water containing strontium, bromine, iodine, bicarbonate, and sodium chloride.

Regular bathing and drinking can cure illnesses or improve general health. Soaking is particularly effective in treating and aiding recovery from conditions such as rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, chronic adnexitis, neuralgia, menopausal syndrome, neurasthenia, various skin diseases, and postoperative scars. Long-term drinking is beneficial for chronic gastritis, enteritis, cholecystitis, gastric ulcers, diabetes, and inhalation therapy helps with laryngitis, tracheitis, and bronchitis. It is one of the rare hot springs in China suitable both for bathing and drinking.

Chen Lei, former Governor of Heilongjiang Province, inscribed the name of the sanatorium. Fan Baojun, then Vice Minister of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China, praised the Lindian hot spring as a “treasure among springs.” The President of the China Charity Federation visited the site and wrote, “Lindian spring water is the best under heaven.”

Location: Hongwei Township, Lindian County, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province

By Bus: Take a bus from Daqing to Lindian County, then transfer to a taxi or hire a car to reach the destination.

By Car: From Daqing, take the Airport Expressway, drive 13.6 km and exit toward Qiqihar. Enter the Suiman Expressway, drive 53.3 km, then exit at Lindian. Turn right onto S201 and drive 2.1 km, then enter Daqi Street and drive 2.4 km. Continue onto X017 and drive 830 m, turn right onto Lindi Road, drive 6.1 km, then turn left and drive 560 m to reach the destination.
