At 16:30 on August 3, a 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck Ludian County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province. By 15:00 on August 4, the quake had claimed 398 lives, touching the hearts of people across the nation. The Beijing Pathfinder Public Welfare Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the Pathfinder Foundation) immediately decided to donate 200,000 yuan worth of disaster relief supplies to the Ludian affected area. Two hundred tents and over 150 windbreakers will be airlifted to the earthquake-stricken area by the Green Field Rescue Team of the One Foundation Rescue Alliance on August 5, to be used for the rest and warmth of the affected residents.

The Pathfinder Foundation was initiated by Beijing Pathfinder Outdoor Products Co., Ltd. and was officially registered and established with the Beijing Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau on December 31, 2013.
