Daqing Oilfield History Exhibition Hall

The Daqing Oilfield History Exhibition Hall is located at No. 32, Zhongqi Road, Saertu District, Daqing City. It was originally the headquarters of the Daqing Petroleum Campaign. On March 8, 2005, it was decided to convert the "No. 2 Courtyard" into the Daqing Oilfield History Exhibition Hall. The construction of the exhibition hall took 18 months and 18 days, and it was completed and opened to the public on September 26, 2006.

Covering an area of over 15,900 square meters with an exhibition space of more than 4,200 square meters, the Daqing Oilfield History Exhibition Hall houses a collection of 7,458 exhibits. It is a high-quality exhibition that is “close to reality, close to life, and close to the people.”

The exhibition is divided into nine sections: “Years of Daqing,” “Thunder in Songliao, Oil Emerges from Daqing,” “Hard Struggle, Glorious Journey,” “Daqing’s Devoted Sons, The Backbone of the Oilfield,” “The Daqing Spirit, The Soul of the Nation,” “Great Contributions, Outstanding Brand,” “Bathed in Spring Breeze, Shining on the Journey,” “A Century of the Oilfield,” and “Visions for a Century of the Oilfield.” By combining a chronological approach with thematic displays, it comprehensively showcases the 46-year glorious development of the Daqing Oilfield, the distinguished leadership of the oilfield, the inheritance and innovation of corporate culture, the significant contributions of the Daqing Oilfield, and the heartfelt care from central leaders. It highlights the theme of the successful model of socialist industrial enterprises under the leadership of the Party.

Since its opening, the Daqing Oilfield History Exhibition Hall has adhered to the core philosophy of “promoting the Daqing Spirit and creating a high-quality exhibition hall.” It follows the principles of being close to reality, the masses, and life, optimizes a nationally advanced educational model, and offers free admission to the public, providing an open green channel for people to visit the exhibition hall, connect with history, and receive education. The hall combines pre-booked guided tours with regularly scheduled ones to maximize interpretive services. It has developed various versions of tour scripts, including expert, adult, student, and English editions, and has set up guided routes of different durations to emphasize personalized and effective education. The hall has also explored multiple educational methods, such as on-site education, online education, activity-based education, and off-site lectures. It has organized thousands of educational events with various sectors and organizations at all levels, including oath-taking ceremonies for Party and League membership and “Campaign Tradition Education,” as well as hundreds of outreach exhibitions at the grassroots level. These efforts fully demonstrate the hall’s strong role in serving society to promote civilization, serving enterprises to foster unity, and serving visitors to cultivate virtue.
