Seoul is full of tourist attractions, but ?? Castle (Raccoon Home), located near Hongdae’s University Road, actually has similar cafés in Incheon, Suwon, and near Sookmyung Women's University. The once elusive and adorable raccoons can now share the same space with customers—no wonder so many girls flock to ?? Castle.
However, if you want to get close to the raccoons, you’ll need to follow ?? Castle’s “usage rules.” For example, you must not touch the raccoons with any part of your body (including hands, feet, or face). Raccoons are naturally quite wary, and if they feel harassed, they’ll hide away—so never force them.
As for the general rules of animal cafés, such as not feeding them human food or drinks, those also apply. Otherwise, you may be fined. Also, weekends tend to be very crowded, sometimes with long lines, so it’s better to visit on weekdays.
But watching those cute raccoons wandering around the café is so therapeutic that guests might just accept all the rules and wait times without complaint.
