Daqing Oilfield Park is located on West Lake Street in Ranhu District. It covers an area of 2.8 square kilometers. Among China’s theme parks, it ranks among the top and was expected to be fully completed by the year 2000. The park centers around petroleum culture, with the western section divided into six areas: the orchard area, nursery area, European area, Middle Eastern area, African area, and ecological agriculture area. Twelve bridges have been designed. Among them, the cable-stayed bridge captures the essence of the Nanpu Bridge; the totem pole bridge represents ancient people's reverence for life; and the Islamabad Bridge tells mysterious stories from the Arabian night sky. The Petroleum Mountain stands 24 meters high, with an earthwork volume of 100,000 cubic meters. Beneath the rockery, two artificial tunnels, each 50 meters long, have been built — one for sightseeing vehicles and the other for cars.

Daqing Oilfield Park is a pioneering project that showcases a series of profound industrial cultural landscapes. It also integrates relatively complex scientific concepts into light-hearted amusement, allowing visitors to gain knowledge while enjoying themselves.

The entire park covers an area of 2.8 million square meters and includes eight functional zones: the ecological garden area, modern cultural entertainment and service area, ecological agriculture demonstration area, memorial forest area, nursery and orchard area, management area, and protective landscape forest belt. There is an 80,000-square-meter lake and water system, along with connected rivers, fish ponds, and irrigation channels. Twelve uniquely shaped bridges of various sizes have been constructed, including a cable-stayed bridge modeled after Nanpu Bridge, an Islamic castle bridge, an elephant bridge, and a stone arch bridge. Typical landscape buildings representing oil-producing countries in European, Middle Eastern, and African styles have been built. A 24-meter-high “Petroleum Mountain,” artificial cliffs, and waterfalls have been created. Over 300,000 trees of more than 60 varieties have been planted, and the orchard, nursery, and windbreak forest are beginning to take shape.

Daqing Oilfield Park is a visionary and distinctive cultural construction project launched by the Daqing Petroleum Administration. Its significance goes far beyond providing a recreational park for leisure. The central aim of the organizers is to create a positive ecological environment centered around petroleum in the originally barren and monotonous northern land. This will allow for the emergence of harmonious and magnificent landscapes across a wide area of Daqing, making residents and occasional visitors feel more comfortable and at home on this land.
