Hongji Ranch Hometown Garden

Relying on its natural resources and geographical advantages, the Hongji Ranch in Daqing has actively developed leisure agriculture and sightseeing. In 2009, near the Rangdu Road, it planned an 84-hectare Hometown Garden featuring four functional zones: entertainment and leisure, comprehensive services, planting, and breeding. The garden was scheduled to be completed over three years.

In 2009, the Hometown Garden completed the construction of a green corridor and a ski resort, which officially opened in December of that year. In 2010, the ranch invested 11.95 million yuan through a combination of self-construction and social funding to carry out subsequent development. The entire park is set to be fully completed in 2012.

Hongji Ranch Hometown Garden is a tourist attraction integrating agricultural sightseeing and leisure vacation, offering many novel entertainment and fruit-picking activities. The ski resort, which is already in operation, consists of a ski slope, an ice rink, a children’s snow and ice play area, and a ski service hall, providing visitors with a stage to show off their skills.

The scenic area’s self-built projects such as a Happy Farm, Corn Maze, Red Memorial Forest, Green Grassland Sports Field, Fruit-Picking Belt, and Log-Style Corridor have attracted numerous visitors with their creative concepts and excellent services. The Memorial Forest features three pyramid-shaped Scots pine forests, one treasure-basin-shaped forest, and 560 individually planted Scots pines, offering beautiful scenery. The 2,000-meter-long Fruit-Picking Belt grows over 20 types of ornamental and practical Lu plants such as strawberries, blackberries, plums, and wild leeks—both edible and environmentally enhancing.
