The Cloud Hall Temple Brick Pagoda is a cultural relic protection unit of Hubei Province.

Cloud Hall Temple Brick Pagoda

Located in Qijianfeng Forest Farm, Wanhe Town, Suixian County, this is a brick pagoda from the Qing Dynasty. It faces southeast and is situated northwest, featuring a circular body with a dome top, a Sumeru pedestal, and a gourd-shaped finial. The pagoda stands 3.6 meters tall in total, built with flat-laid blue bricks and sealed with mortar made from glutinous rice and lime, with the outer top smoothed using lime plaster. The pagoda door is 1.7 meters high and 0.5 meters wide, with an arc-shaped upper part and a stone sill at the bottom. The base is constructed from stone slabs of varying lengths, forming a square with sides 4.5 meters long, tapering inward into three tiers of steps. The structure is roughly symmetrical from top to bottom, with the entire base standing 1.5 meters high. The middle of each of the four sides of the stone base’s waist features a small square opening. The inner wall of the pagoda has niches. The finial is approximately 0.9 meters tall. This uniquely shaped pagoda is relatively well-preserved and holds certain value for the study of Ming and Qing dynasty architecture as well as Buddhist structures.
