Where should you go to enjoy flowers this spring?The fringe trees at Daonan Riverside Park have now entered their peak blooming period.Recently, the blossoms have covered the area like a blanket of snow, adding a touch of romance to the riverside.The blooming season lasts about a month.Flower lovers shouldn’t miss this stunning sight!

The Taipei City Government Department of Public Works, Bureau of Water Resources, stated that fringe trees are deciduous trees, and their peak blooming period is around the Qingming Festival each year. The flowers, with their four deeply split corollas opening upward, resemble the tassels on traditional ancient ladies' garments—hence the name. Additionally,the petals are slender, lightly fragrant, and snow-white, earning them the beautiful nickname "April snow."。

Currently, the fringe trees at Daonan Riverside are in full bloom.The best viewing spot is on the right bank riverside embankment opposite Taipei Zoo. It’s just a 5-minute walk from Muzha Metro Station,and the blooming period lasts about a month. Flower enthusiasts should seize this opportunity to plan a half-day flower-viewing trip during the weekend, enjoying the vibrant riverside scenery of spring.

Location: Under Daonan Bridge – County/City boundary of Jingmei River in Wenshan District, upstream side railing from Jingmei River to Bao Bridge
Transportation Info:
1. By MRT: Walk from Muzha MRT Station, cross over the MRT bridge past Muzha Road to the embankment, and you’ll see the fringe trees on the left.
2. By Bus: Take bus routes 251, 251区, 252, 282, 282副, 647, 660, 666, 679, 795, 819, 915, 1503, Brown 3, or Brown 7 to Muzha MRT Station, then walk along the MRT bridge to the embankment.
